Just out of curiosity how many of you would be interested in a 2az motor swap for the 1st Gen xB and xA?

The work has begun but trying to decide to offer a bolt in kit to the "masses"..ie motor mounts, axle conversion, wire harness conversion as a kit.

Their would be no cutting involved as it would come with a whole new crossmember.

Just looking for some insight as to what the market would bare and if it would be desired.

Watching. Who would make the motor mounts? Like a HasSport thing or something? Would be nice to see a swap kit one day.

don't have the money now to even think about it, but maybe one day down the road this would be a fun project.

 

so what does this engine have as far as power??mod's etc..might have some intrest also what is the cost?the main reason i will not go fi is becasue i dont want to put 2-4k and get under 200 horsepower..if im going to put money into a car to make some power id get something that will make power..this is the tc motor correct ??

 

2az is the 2400cc engine

 

from what car ...tc?rav4? i belive the rav 4 has like 8 horsepower more and 4 more lbs of torque

 

I'd much rather see a 2ZZ-GE being used for this application. Much smaller motor and more power. 1.8L 180HP > 2.4L 160HP.

 

im with carbon you could allways bump that 1.8 to 2.0+ and get some nice torque out of it plus turbo ...shesh you make sound so nice man.thats why i loved my b16 honda made nice power out of a 1.6

 

2az is a common toyota engine

 

but what makes the power boosted?
