When you find a way to get 200 hp on our cars for under 4K please pm me i want to know.

as for the tC motor swap, I was seriously considering it because that motor in stock for can handle 200whp more thyan the 1nz-fe and would be a beast. It would be great for dragrace applications but I then thought about it more and the weight added in the front would seriously hinder the handling as far as auto-x and time attack usage. Drag racing yes, road racing no... built 1.5

the xb is not light...2,500-3,000 lbs. a 1,500lbs honda civic is light...my 91 integra fully gutted as in the only thing in it was a engine and shell with 2 seats ,you could stand in the engine bay and work on the car thats how much crap i pulled out and still hit the scales at 1,789 made over 200 horsepower and you can still feel the weight..

The xB1 is only 2400lbs. Maybe yours is close to 3,000 lbs with all that stereo equipment, but a stock xB1 is only 2395.

where is everyone getting the number for how much the xB weighs? I have wanted to figure out myself how much a stock xB weighs and when referring to door panel it says something like 3500Lbs. either way, with a boost in power, even if its only a 30-40 hp boost, it will still drastically improve what already exists; a cool car with a lot of potential.

LOL...nice one Jon.

I agree with you on the smaller motor (2zz) for the main reasons of size weight etc.

This is all coming about via a custom one off setup. So the motor was dictated by the customer. But it makes sense from a production standpoint as the aftermarket support is much greater for the 2az(and still growing)

The only other motor(for mass swappage being considered) is the engine out of the xD. (as they are in everything and fit a whole lot better)

For anyone who really wants to go crazy...a Honda K series fits really nice

Just for conversations sake I am not doing any of the work, I am just involved in the project.

Regards-

Todd

im not sure what the engine code is, but alot of my friends are telling me I should swap a Celica GTS motor and trans into my xb1, but idk if it would be worth it... im sure itd be alot more power, but It would cost alot to purchase the motor and trans and then to get it to fit... any ideas to further that would be appreciated!

The xD uses the same block as the Celica GTS and why would you want to do the Blacktop it is a cast iron block and is a lot heavier then the 1.8.

cast iron is heavier but also stronger than aluminum. the 1nz-fe is cast iron sleeved.
