I have a 2004 xb with 96,000 miles on it. I haven't had any problems at all and still don't. There is just this funny sounding noise coming from under the hood. It sounds like I have a small hole in the manifold pipe or the intermediate pipe. I have visually checked the pipes but did not find any holes. This noise was not there about 40,00 miles ago. I haven't changed anything on the car. Everything is OEM.


Does anyone have any ideas?

 

double check that your exaust is tight at the collector, and your header bolts are tight, and the header gasket is in good shape.

 

check you a/c pump when it goes its sounds annoying
