I'd say that my biggest problem is the stock ECU.

Exhaust is stock with Greddy SP2 Axle back.

ok i see. I would get a 3" down-pipe back exhaust made for your car, the factory 1 5/8" will create an extreme amount of back-pressure against the exhaust turbine. Im willing to bet you will pick up 4psi at least.

As far as the injector scaling, im not sure

running with the big boys, i LOVE it!!!! I got rid of my xA, about a month ago because i moved to the US and bringing the car with me was going to a pain in the a$$.

I never knew that it would have been strong enough to run with Z's... I used to run the car when i was NA, but i was never able to run it turbo. Im glad to see this and it makes me wish i didnt sell it :'(

another video, this was in the wet. Still wastegate boost 137whp, Toyo R1R's do great in the rain as you can see I have no problem keeping up and even passing awd cars

forgive my ignorance....but how is a 3" exhaust going to give me more boost if the the wastegate cracks at 12psi with the boost controller at 90% duty? Wouldn't I get more boost with an 11psi wastegate actuator vs. the 5psi that came with the kit?

I would shy away from setting the crack pressure any higher than 5psi, it will result in boost fluxuation. The tdo4 turbo spools quick enough to where you don't have to worry about that.

at 90% duty cycle, you are in a sense running a closed wastegate. It gets no boost pressure signal because the boost sylinoid is bleeded off all the air. It won't matter if you change to a 11psi actuator at 90% you will end up in the same boat.

Your turbo must be able to breathe, it is a fan. of you put a sheet in front of a fan it spins faster working twice as hard but produces less flow correct? Same concept with a turbo. Between shortening the intake and going with a 3" exhaust, that is how you get more boost when maxing out a turbo.

I still have the 5psi actuator, the same one you do. And with my boost controller off im between 9 and 10psi. With the original Greddy intake set-up and stock exhaust I would be at 5psi. It's all about efficiency.

I see. thanks for the explanation. definitely have to do my exhaust, but also considering a different turbo.

Thanks for the positive feedback! Im going to do a few more events and put more miles on the motor, if all is well Ptuning will be offering the 1nzfe shortblock.

I am looking forward to going to the dragstrip, I really want to break into the 13 second barrier.

I may wait until it gets cooler because the last couple of days, my power has definately risen do to the cooler weather. I actually hit almost 24psi today when I took a customer for a ride, it hit timing retard (we set up the tune that way) and I turned the boost down. It pulls really hard, I think if I put my car back on the dyno in the winter it will be over the 180whp mark and over 200ft.lbs of torque.

If you see in the video, the air filter is up where the rain gutter used to be. I just fabbed up that intake 2 days ago, im already noticing cooler charge temperatures. I am going to go one step further and make a air box to isolate the filter from any engine compartment heat, it will draw in the air from the cowl cover.

Glad to see someone did this. I've been thinking about doing something similar for a few months now...just haven't gotten around to it lol.
