I have an 06 XB and I purchased a Fujita F5 short ram intake back when I purchased the car. I was aware at the time that there were no carb legal intakes for my car due to the charcoal canister filter the 06 XB has. Does anyone know if there are any carb legal intakes for my car? My dilemma is that I got rid of my stock intake system and need to smog my car. Can't seem to find a stock one anywhere without paying a fortune at the dealer. Any help would be appreciated. Thx

No there is none for 06. Comb e-bay, xB forums classifieds or call wrecking yards for the stock airbox.

if all else fails find a buddy and borrow his stock crap for the test and then swap back out. just dont get stopped by the cops who check for c.a.r.b. stickers

you can try going to a few places and if they ask about your intake just said you didn't know it is illegal and they'll probably pass you? that's what my friend did.

Thx guys. So I realize now there isn't a carb legal intake for my 06 XB but I'd like to get a more accessable intake that is easier to gain access to and clean. I was looking at the Volant box intakes and it looks as though it's easy to get to and clean. Has anyone here installed a Volant intake on there 06 XB? Just want to make sure it fits. The one I looked at claims it fits 04-07 but to my awareness, the 1st generation XB is from 04-06 and then is different from 07-present. Just want to make sure I'm buying something that will actually fit my car.

Carb legal air intakes are only available for the 04 models. Non available for 1st gens outside of 04. Check on ebay for a used. If not maybe a pick and pull.

Just to clarify, there are Carb legal intakes for 05 Xb as well. (i.e. AEM Cold Air Intake)

I have an intake you can buy for cheap. pm me and we can exchange numbers and ill sell you mine very cheap. Its off an 05 xa but should work. ALSO the post above me is correct. My aem cold air came with a 50 state legal sticker.
