Default Cracked Intake manifold plastic

How hard is it to remove the old intake manifold? It is a plastic piece that has a crack right near the place the gas cable goes to the throttle body. Are there any manifolds that are better than stock but not for turbo. Mine has a crack in it and I wanted to replace it but the only place I can find it is from the dealer. o.o Anyone know if i can fix the old one or a place a can get a used one for cheap or get a better one?

removing the stock intake manifold isnt hard and can be done in a short time. as far as a new manifold WR was making one but didnt have much luck so i think your stuck w/ the dealer unless you want to go with ITB's

I don't know what dealer cost is, but http://www.car-part.com has them for $150. There are also a couple yards to call for pricing.

Good luck.

good luck trying to find such a new car in the yards. Ive been looking for an 03+ celica so I can bum the injectors for a while now. Anyways, how did you crack the manifold? Its a very strong plastic which is strong enough for even fairly high boost.

i just happened to stop by discount auto parts and it said they carry all oem parts for most newer cars. I went in and asked about the intake manifold and they pointed me to cold air intakes X.x and then exhaust manifolds X.X I told them that it was neither and it baffled them.

LMAO. Well those guys arent the most knowledgable.

Discount Auto Parts job interview:

Manager: Do you like cars?
PE: yes
Manager: Youre hired.

Similar to the Walmart Greeters interview:

Manager: Say "Hi" and smile.
PE: (smiles) Hi, welcome to Walmart
Manager: youre hired.

Is it #21 in this pic:
PartzNet...works only on Internet Explorer

They sell genuine new Toyota (also Nissan and others) parts. Rather cheap at $106.92 before shipping.

When I replace the intake manifold do I need to also go buy new gaskets for it?
