emanage ultimate screwey all of a sudden
Anyone know what might be happening with my ultimate? I was doing some runs last sunday and data logging. i installed the 310 cc celica injectors and was tuning my maps. i was running a bit rich most of the time. then monday morning the car wont start. it was throwing ignition coil error codes. so, i changed the plugs since i thought i fouled my plugs the day before and that was the cause of the slow circuit response codes on the coils. i also went back to stock injectors and emanage blue. car was running fine on blue all week. today i hooked up ultimate again and it wont start. ultimate isn't firing the coils. nothing has changed in the data file other than injector size. any idea what's going on here?

using boomslang harness. checked for continuity at the ignition leads on the harness and all good. also verified that ultimate is firing the coil packs. my guess is that emu can't calculate injector size correctly suddenly. will have to wait and see. I have no issues with basic and also using a boomslang for blue.

u have boomslang for the ultimate? Did you check the dip switches?
So you said the coils were firing? so the problems is the detection of the injector size? If this is the case you can tune the injector cc's manually on the ultimate.

I have a boomslang for ultimate and another for basic. the harness tested ok. so, seems like ultimate is sending the wrong snap pulse signals to the injectors. I don't have a scope to read the pulses, so I'll have to tweak the injector size. prior to this happening, I installed tc injectors and configured emu at 380 cc. it wouldn't run until I configured them to 185 cc. I switched to celica injectors and configured them at 310 cc and all was good. ran a day with this setup and then it screwy on me.

hey, this sounds like a faulty ignition chip in the ultimate. i ran a couple of emanage ultimate on my tc and did the same exact thing. the ignition chip is located at a spot where it hits the case when sliding the circuit board in and out of the case. the car will crank, but not fire! error codes with coils. sounds just like problems when i had the ultimates!
