Default Forced Induction Intake

So I live over here in Germany where our speed limits are very high on the autobahn, and I have a question to all of the veteran's. Is there a ram air intake kit made for the xB? Not just your usual intake, one that utilizes the high air pressure that is built up in the front of the car when dirving fast. One that the air is channeled to go directly through a filter and then the engine, hence RAM AIR. If anyone has any knowledge on this it would help since I am currently in the process of building my own which will run directly to the bottom of the stock airbox. Thanks.

Well I fininshed the fab work on this I will put pictures up soon. The end results where not bad, considering I put about a 3" hole in my front bumpercover. But the end results look sharp, sound good, and I think the butt dyno is saying I got a little more ponies...

Okay so here are the pics of the setup I built. Any imput, or constructive critisism would be great. I think my gas milage went down a little, but it might be because I like to get on it and hear the soud it makes . It sound just like a cold air intake kit. It does awsome on the autobahns, I can get on it around 60ish and it will pull pretty hard, at least I think it pulls better than it did. Oh yea I also have a K&N replacement stock filter in the airbox. I think it is flowing better but Im not an expert on DIY jobs. Like I said any comments would help. Thanks

Again Thanks, and I hope to hear some comments

It is plumed to the bottom of the stock airbox, which has a couple of little holes in the bottom that let the water drain out of the intake charge. I think a little water will not hurt anything, It might even help a little, It could cool the intake charge, hell it might even clean carbon depoits on the valves. I have not had any problems with rain yet, and it rains here every day.

Dude thats killer.. If that what i think it is (air duct hose) that you used, you are the man. As ghetto as it might look, it does the job BETTER than most CAIs. I had the same setup done on one of my cars, and it made a HUGE difference. Also, at the end of the pipe, where air enters, i would like to note that you did a great job. the tappered round entry catches more air that just straight/sharp end of pipe..

Thanks for the input, It took some guts to cut that front bumpercover but I love the end results.

I'm a little late on this but, I think Weapon R had a universal style ram air accessory which would work with their short ram kits. But the way you have done it is the way many people here have. Looks nice!

I did something similar. I also have the foglight cover cutout. Nothing noticiable on the butt dyno but I think it looks cool.
