help with oil feed
i am getting really close to being able to bolt up my turbo but im wondering where the best place for the oil feed is. i know there is a spot on the front of the block but is there also one on the back?

the best place is front right on the side (facing the motor) where the stock oil pressure sensor is.. that is the most accessible and easy to trouble shoot should any leaks or problems happen, also doesnt require you a very long feed line

that's not any easy spot to troubleshoot in my case. to get to it, i have to remove the intake manifold which is a pain seeing that i have a weapon-r manifold. the first time it leaked, the oil seeped between my clutch disk and flywheel which led to the rapid deterioration of my clutch. second time it leaked (just a few weeks ago) it was because of the cheap-a$$ Greddy union fitting snapped while threaded into the block. Luckily I was able to use an easy-out to get the broken piece out and I had enough threads left on the fitting to reconnect. However, I used pipe dope instead of teflon tape and no more leaks.
You could also try an oil filter sandwich adapter. And I wouldn't recommend that your oil feed line connect to turbo directly. Again, my cheap-a$$ Greddy hose sprung a leak at the banjo fitting and sprayed oil everywhere. I got me some Earl's -4AN fittings and made a 6 inch long stainless steel tube to place in between the hose and the turbo which dissipates the heat much better than a banjo fitting.
