Default How often should you change, rotate, or clean a Injen CAI...

Ok, Ive had my Injen SR CAI, on for...oh prob a year and a half. I havent changed it out, and I dont know if Im supposed to change the entire filter, or just try to clean it.

its still got the stock Injen air filter on it.....are there better filters to put on?
or should i just clean this one, or replace it?

Ive noticed my idle at a stop with pulsate by 100-200 rpms....so Im inclined to think this may be the reason.

(And yes....I did try the SEARCH button...and got 370 topics about filters back)

Help.

the pulsating maybe because u have oil on ur air intake sensor which is bad. and normaly u should clean ur air filter 1-2 times a year if ur not in a real dusty area. be careful cleaning the sensor use q-tips and cleaner thats made for sensons. oil and dirt buildup on them causes pulsating.
