Default Quick Noob Turbo Question

im new to this whole turbo thing, if i was to put a turbo on the car i wouldnt need the cold air intake correct? doesnt the turbo use the exhaust for pushing air into the car so it would eleminate the need for a cold air intake/short ram, is this correct?

That is correct. That is why I have an AEM cold air and a Megan racing exhaust header that have no place to go now.

i know the turbo uses the exhaust to turn the fan, but why cant you use your header? is there a spacific header for the turbo kit that you need to use. im was looking at getting the ZPI turbo kit.

Most turbo kits the turbo is mounted on the Exhaust manifold.. The ZPI kit allows you to use the exsiting header in the car.. because the turbo is actually located on the down pipe, instead of the exhaust manifold.

Oh and on a side note.. its called a turbine.. not a fan..
