SUPERCHARGER NOT FOR 5 SPEEDS??? IS THIS TRUE...
I'VE FINALLY BEEN SERIOUS ABOUT UPING THE HP ON MY XB AND I HAD ALLWAYS THOUGHT I'D GO WITH THE SUPERCHARGER....BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE THE LEAST AMOUNT OF HASSLE...NOW THAT I'VE BEEN SEARCHING THE WEBSITES I SEE THEY RECOMEND THE GREDDY SUPERCHARGER FOR AUTOS ONLY??? IS THIS TRUE....
IF SO WHAT IS A GOOD END....COSE EFFECIENT TURBO SET UP....I WAS THINKING ABOUT GOING WITH THE ZPI RACING TURBO KIT BUT I DON'T THINK I'LL HONESTLY BE ABLE TO AFFORD IT. CONSIDERING I STILL NEED TO GET A TRUE 2.5" EXHAUST WITH HIGH FLOW CAT AND MUFFLER....ETC. ETC.
YOUR INPUT WOULD BE GREAT....OR A LINK TO THIS TOPIC WOULD HELP TOO...THANKS DEANO MC SREAMO

YOU CAN USE THE SUPERCHARGER WITH YOUR 5SPEED. THAT IS WHAT I AM DOING AND WHAT HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE. I THINK YOU SHOULD GET THE GREDDY TUBO KIT. JUST MAKE SURE TO GET A BOV, AND CELICA INJECTORS. IF THE BUDGET ALLOWS I WOULD ALSO LOOK INTO A FMIC KIT.
Is the install on a 5 speed any different than the install on an auto?
I also want a SAFE gain with the least amount of investment.
I think turbos would be too much money.
And nitrous is more likely to do long term damage to pistons n rings.
What do you guys think?

a good turbo is only a little more expensive than a SC if you install it yourself.
SC is safer because of the fixed pressure and you don't have to worry about keeping the oil flowing during the cool down.
there is never a SAFE gain, but safER gains.
somebody correct me if i'm wrong, but i think that nitrous is only bad because people tend to over do it. forced induction puts stress on the internals too.
good luck with your decision.
i finally decided on a blitz SC myself. i should have it within a couple of weeks!
