Default What do you guys think...?

My local performance garage came up with this setup for my 1NZ-FE.

Forged pistons with 9.5:1 compression ratio
Billet connecting rods
Strengthening of the block
Garrett GT2876R
Tial 38mm EWG
Custom SS pipings
FMIC
etc etc..

Thats all I remember for now... But I am kinda skeptical and worried about using the Garrett GT2876R but the mechanic assured me, it will work...

Not sure if my calculations are correct, but I looked at the compressor map of the GT2876R and the spooling of the turbo is like way before the surge line (does this mean major lag?) and also, i am not sure, but i think the turbo will start to spool around 4.2k rpm (wtf??)

Any comments guys?

Forged pistons and connecting rods are an excellent idea. Good choice on the Compression ration as well. You have the start of a good setup.

Keep in mind xA or xB, there is very little space between the firewall and the engine for the mechanical parts and airflow for cooling.

I have the GReddy turbo setup on my xA and I will acheive full 7 PSI of boost at 4000 rpm.

Start of a good setup? So what else comes next? I've already spent like a s**tload of $$.. it's never gonna end eh...

as for the tiny space between the headers and firewall, my garage has custom fitted the turbo to be slightly to the right side (with you facing the car) of the engine where the original air box used to be.

Oh yeah, what turbo are you using?
