Default [FIXED]Finally got my shift changed hu~(for A/T)[PICS]

hi all scion maniacs!
i bought automatic xb for just cruise and show.
i was satisfied with my a/t xb very much.
one thing really i didn't like about a/t was that
the shift stick looks so fugly.i like the way manual stick looks.
and the O/D switch on the **** was making hard to replace the **** to other ****
anyways today i changed the **** finally.
i cut the wire for OD and hook it up to dash and make new switch and
at same time i made another switch for sound pop-up neon tubes.
and i put shift boot for manual look..
i know it was not a hard job but for me it was first time doing something on my car by myself..
here is link of pics

BTW how is the **** hooked on? is it just resting on top loosely or is it screwed on and still able to push down?

first of all, you can use almost all other **** for automatic without overdrive.
actually there are not many aftermarket **** with overdrive.
for mine there is no button on the ****.
it is push down style ****. so the **** is as a big button.
and you don't need any drilling.
just remove the factory **** and cut the OD switch and
hook up the OD switch whereever u want it to be.and you need to use momentary switch.
if u remove your factory ****, there is a plastic button which is actual button for switch. you will need to cut it a bit in order to fit your new ****.
i don't know if i help you.. but if u need more, plz leave reply..

Someone posted this same mod up recently and I love it. You did a good job on this one too. I've got another idea in mind that is my first choice, but if I can't do it like I envision, then I'm definitely gonna hook this up.

The great part is most people won't even think it's an auto even after seeing only two pedals. The dealership I used to work at had a bunch of antique cars and also 7 Shea's A's - Model A replicas built on Pinto chassis. They were fun to drive and got total attention. AAAAUUUGGGAAAAA horns and all. Half of them were Auto tranny's and people would still ask me if they were real or not
