I am guessing this unit is plug and play..and does anyone have one or know where to purchase them besides the dealership .....

 

It's not quite plug and play - it's a little more complex than that...

Dealers are the only place I know to get them, as they are a Toyota parts kits, but some of the on-line dealer parts sales folks have them at pretty decent prices...

I guarantee it will be a lot cheaper than the dealership. If you don't know how to wire it though... if you bought it there then tried to get the dealership to install it they might find a way to screw you in the installation price. The top right of the page has a PDF link of the installation instructions if you want to look at that.

Would this be OEM?

 

That part number looks like a Toyota/Scion part number, and is very close to the very first version of the alarm system that came out: 08586-52970 Scion Xa Security.

I suspect it may be a later version of that OEM alarm system.

According to the info on that site, this version of the alarm kit is for the 2006 and 2006.5 (sometimes called 2007) xA.

Certainly looks legit to me.
