Default 06 Xb and the IPOD Touch

I have the Pioneer IPOD head in my Xb. The supplied connector worked well with my Apple Mini but seems to have an issue with my IPOD Touch. I get a message that says this is an improper way to charge this unit and has a "dismiss" button on the IPOD. No music. I press "dismiss" and still no music. Any ideas or similar problems?

its most likely the cable. i'm assuming you have a 2nd Gen Ipod Touch, which no longer supports charging via the firewire pins in the cable.

you can buy this adaptor and that should solve your issue.

That is correct.
There are adapters now, but I can't say if they will work with this setup.
And, they're about $30 too.
Goto http://www.ilounge.com for info on them.

Don't be hard on Scion, Apple changed the pin outs for power, and I'm sure Scion will make a new cable.
Scion STILL has the best iPod setup of 99% of the cars out there.
My 3-year old tC has a real connection - all the new cars still just have a lame mini-jack.
Bullsh.
