Default Adding LEDs to the dimmer ****?

I kind of want to put some amber LEDs in the little compartments around the steering wheel. Has anybody tapped into the dimmer switch to run LEDs? Is there somewhere else I can tap into that will turn them on with the parking/headlights and let them be dimmable?

you have to make sure that the LEDs are either 12v ones (with built in resistor) or hae the external resistors that HAVE to be hooked up. ALso you need to make sure of the direction of them as the D stands for diode which means they are a one way electronic valve.

I did it, it wasnt fun

your dimmer switch along with your headlight switch can take the load of the led's i have many of 'em in my car hooked up to them... power wire comes from the headlight switch wiring and the ground is the dimmer switch wiring
