Default Airbag Light On! WTF?!? 2006 xB

My airbag light came on about 2 weeks ago and the passenger airbag off is lit no matter if there is a passenger or not. I noticed it was on the day after getting cut off while going about 30 and having to brake extremely hard. I did have a passenger at the time, but we didn't actually hit anything.

I have an amp under each seat which was professionally installed about 14 months ago. I have added a few LED's here and there (6 weeks ago) as well as an LED underglow kit (4 weeks ago). These are both running on the accessory circuit.

I have looked to see if any of the mounting of the underglow was interfering with the sensors and it doesn't appear to be. The amp is far from interfering with the underset wiring and senors. All the underseat wiring is connected properly.

Any ideas?

The dealer can't figure it out and they are currently blaming the amp.

#1 i don't see how the amps could be making that sort of problem.
#2 if the amp was the broblem you would think the dealership would be able to say why, not just guess and say "its your amps".

Your xB is equipped with an occupant detection system, which uses the airbag light to inform you of any malfunctions in the system. So, with the airbag light on, it could an airbag system malfunction or an occupant system malfunction. When the dealer checks the airbag code, it will tell them there is an occupant detection system malfunction, they can then check the code from that system to see what the problem is. In most cases the occupant detection system will require a recalibration to correct the malfunction.
Can you find out what airbag code they retrieve & post it?
