Alpine and Bazooka in XB 3.0? Is the wiring harness the same
I just bought a new Scion XB Release 3.0 with the Alpine stereo. It needs more bass. I bought a Bazooka EL8 on eBay that came out of a '04 XB with a Pioneer deck. Is the wiring harness the same for either deck? Does anyone have info on an adapter if not? Is there a better "easy" way to add bass to this stereo? I looked and looked for info before posting but gave up in frutration. I know that there is a limited amount of these, release 3.0, cars/stereos out there but someone else has to have had the same question.
There is no adapter per say. The bazooka will wire in just like a standard amplifier will. You will need to run a power line to the battery (make sure you fuse in no more than 12" from the battery).
Run speaker wires either from the rear of the radio and connect to the rear speaker output, or tap off of the rear speakers themselves.
You won’t need to connect a remote turn on; the bazooka has an Auto On feature.
