Default Alpine CDA-9833

Well I finally got the $$$ together and ordered my new Stereo. The Alpine CDA-9833 Should get it in Tuesday and willshould be set up that afternoon.

I know quite a few people here have them and Im really hoping I made the right choice. I got it from Crutchfield they have it on clearance, and they have there outlet stock section so I got it for 269.99 free shiping and install kit

I also asked if the "outlet stock or openbox as it were" isnt to my liking can I send it back and get a new one and pay only the diffrence, the answer was yes.

I will be hooking it up to my Infinity Bassling that is under the passenger seat (yes it fits, just barley but it fits, Im gonna have to figure out a way to secure it but it fits. So I will keep this post updated with pics when I get it installed.

FYI I have the stock 6 disk changer and if anyone wants it Im asking 300. I live in Long Beach, CA and can meet up for sale or can ship for $15 PM if your intrested.

I work at Magnolia Audio Video and we sell the CDA 9833 here brand new for 350. The deal you got for 270 was a decent deal. The cd player is awesome the only down fall is that if u live in a sunny area like california you are going to have a hard time seeing the screen when the sun is on it. I would recommend spending alittle bit more and gettin the Alpine CDA9835 it is a different display something called a Biolite and you can see it in any sunlight. Awesome deck. My b/f has a civic and that is what I bought him from my work for Xmas. Let me know how it works out. Ps We do have Magnolia in California!

I bought my CDA-9833 from Crutchfield as well. But, I was able to use a discount coupon/code of PA166 and it dropped the price $20. I didn't know aboout the code when I made the oringial purchase, but I called back and they refunded me the money to my card. You might be able to do the same.

As for the unit itself, I spent quite a bit of time reseraching it and it seems to be a very good player. I would say you have done well as long as the unit itself is liveable being that it's a Scratch and Dent model. I paid $300 for a brand new one minus the refunded $20 for a grand total of $280.

neways, GL.

I'm ordering the same head unit from Crutchfield on Monday (after ordering my xB on Saturday).

Cheapest place on the net... I've been searching for 3 days now.

dabodykitlady:
I like that reciever but unfortinatly that is over my budget

bmac:
Well its funny I origionally got the Scratch and dent went back to show my wife later and there was the "outlet stock" ones for $10 more so I called back and switched to that. But if Im not happy with what comes in the mail, I will send it back and get the Brand New one. I dont have cash to throw around so I want to get the best I can get for the money. As for the coupon I Will call them as soon as I get up tomorow and try that discount code THANKS!

Got any other codes? I have about $1400 worth of stuff on my wish list. As soon as I have a date on the arrival of my box, it goes to the shopping cart.

The code was actually posted here on this site maybe two weeks ago by another very thoughtful member.

Sorry, I don't have any other coupons, BUT, I believe that the discount applies to purchases over $200, so you could break up your purchases and use the code a few times. ;)

GL,

Actually, I just found a site. The PA166 is $20 off $100. IF anyone wants the address for the website, PM or email me. Not sure if we are supposed to post that stuff here or not.

Had mine about a week, and really like it; still fiddling with the settings and ipod controls, but overall I'm very happy. I'm running the internal amp and it's plenty loud with the stock speakers.

Good choice!

I went to the local Alpine dealer today so I could put hands on the 9833... I'm ordering mine RIGHT NOW. It's freaking cool. One of the things I hadn't noticed anywhere I saw it online, is that the face has 3 different tilt levels. So when it's in the dash, you can tilt to suit your seating position. Pretty cool feature, I thought.

probably just going to have to play with the settings to get it right in the xB depending on the speakers you have. I'm going to have new speakers as well, so the settings will likely be different than stock speakers.
