Alpine Navigation Problem
I have recently installed an Alpine Navigation unit (NVE-N872A) in my 06' xB and I have come across a problem that perplexes me. The unit powers on, seems to work fine, but when I shift from any gear past neutral, the car dies. Anyone have any idea... I have check the wiring and it is pretty solid. Any help would be appreciated.
Never mind... I took the thing apart one piece at a time and have eliminated the nav as the problem. I think this problem extends deeper since I found out that the car will only die if all the doors are closed. You open one of the doors or the hatch and you can shift past neutral all day long, but as soon as all the doors are closed and you go to neutral, it dies. Anyhoo, I am taking it to the dealer on Monday and going to see if they can figure it out.
