Default Amp Racks and Subwoofer Enclosures

Hi, well, I've been looking around the forum and can't seem to find a solid topic on this - save from checking pages and pages of info - but I was wondering if there were some nice, already built, setups out there for a scion xb. I've been donated a couple of 10" kickers and an audiobahn a1300hct amp, so that's what i've got to work with. I'm trying to stay clear of the big box type enclosures, give it a more clean and open feel. Perhaps custom is the way to go, but no harm in scouring.

So far, i've seen the AudioFormz setup, but it appears that it's made for only one sub.

Much thanks for the help.

Elemental Design also has some boxes, but QW seems to be the king since they build and custom tune each box per order

If you're content using one 10", you can try http://audioformz.com/comersus/store...p?idProduct=32.

I've seen one in person and they look very nice. The gelcoat matches the factory colors really well. And it sounds pretty good for as small as it is. HTH

"Warning, this site has been shut down by the authorities"

Fancy that... now to continue my search for some nice racks and enclosures.

Hi all,

If you didn't happen to see my recent post in the thread "Custom Kick Panels for the xB", please beware!

I paid those guys $500 for a set of kicks for my xB, and got shafted big-time. I ordered exactly a month ago and everything went fine until I started asking for updates on the work - I was very patient with them and then finally my two last e-mails on Jul 6 were both replied with the following simple statement, with ZERO explanation of what was happening with my order:

"James Krietsch is no longer part of elegonics and has been put in investigation by the Austin Police for imbezzlement."

(BTW nice spelling of embezzlement dudes!)

I have filed a claim with PayPal which is pending and even spoke with Larry at Longhorn Collison in Austin, whose e-mail is registered to the Elegonics PayPal account - he just said that "it's a long story" about what happened and didn't exactly reassure me that I would get what I paid for...so go to QuarterWave at your own risk because it's not exactly a stable situation from what I can gather.

I don't like seeing people get screwed over so I'm just trying to help.

Wow that blows me away, I got two enclosures from Elegonics around the 1st of June and dealt directly with James, he seemed like a super cool guy and I had excellent customer service from them, I am shocked

AudioFormz enclosure are great
wonderful customer support
i have had no problems with them and the owner is always available

a little pricey but well worth it
you just have to make sure your equipment will fit

and the sub needs to be specialized for very small box...like .7~ish cubic feet

I would hold out judgment on Frank, James, Elegonics and Quarter Wave Designs until the whole truth comes out. Right now all we have is one email to one customer and a bogus looking website.

It looks like QWD will be continuing the work they did previously, based on the QWD website. But like I said, I think the best thing to do is just wait and see.

Your totally right
I was treated more than fair by them, got what I ordered, and in fact, since they didnt have the layout for an underseat sub for the RS. 3.0, and I gave them the info, James Gave me the second cargo box at "Employee discount"

I truly hope all works out for them, they are a great customer service company and build a great product
I would do business with them in a heartbeat!

sent them an email a while back, still waiting for a reply. I suppose they have a lot of things to sort out... but for now, I'll check around locally for someone who does custom work.

The Truth.
Elegonics is now out of buisness. There are alot of upset people. james took alot of money and did not deliver product. i don't exactly know why he did what he did. he betrayed the trust of alot of customers, and a good friend. If you have been one fo the people who have not received product please contact me at eleprez06@yahoo.com.
It's not all bad though. Despite the loss of one of our driving forces and machine operator we are getting back on track. The XBII underseat enclosure will be available once again. I know it will take time but I hope I can earn your trust and continue providing ya'll with qaulity Scion enclosures. We will also be doing the custome engraving. The new site will be up soon so stay tuned.
Thaks for your time.
