Amps and Subs
I'm planning on getting an Eclipse amp(PA 5422) which is a 4channel 800watt amp and to power my polk momo speakers and an Eclipse 12' titanium sub. Has anyone used an eclipse amp and sub before? if so, how well do they work b/c i'm contemplating between eclipse and JL for the amp and subs....thanx a lot

If you plan on using a 4 channel to power a sub you will have to run the rear channel bridged and the front channel will only run 1 set of speakers unless you decide to wire both front and rear in series or parallel. Most 4 channels dont give more than 150-200w RMS when bridged and that is being optimistic at best...

i think you'd be better off getting a 2 channel amp for the front left and right then get a 2 channel or mono channel amp for the sub(s)......eclipse have some really nice subs, but don't know anything about their amps.......JL has awesome products all the way around!!!!!!!
