God, there has to be a cheaper place to get these other than Partsexpress....

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=071-585

Any where? My local Pepboys, Autozone and Kragen don't stock them.

Nope, they are expensive anywhere you look...

Just hardwire it to the battery!

I am totally clueless when it comes to that. T_T

I'll make a few trips to autozone as a few SL members have reported they got it from AZ.

Okay, I found the Mini-add-a-circuit! Thank god!

I found the fuse box, which slot do I plug it into? How do I connect the wire from the add a circuit to the switch?

Also, it seems like I'm gonna need longer wiring... Is that okay? Where can I buy these wires from?

Btw, the fuse box is near the driver's seat right?

EDIT: I bought some "hook-up" wire from Ratshack, I hope that wire is good. >_>

you dont need to ahve either add-a-fuse or w/e but it a lot cleaner and safer, i have what i call, "ghetto fabbed" stripped enough to wrap around the fuse, not the best but it odes the job since no stores or anything around here carry any of the add-a-fuse stuff, and i havent found an online site that does

i wired mine up with siome help fromoznium, but mainly trial and error, i love doing that type of stuff that way i know what is wrong and can fix it myself

you can go to lowes or home depot, i got my wires from lowes, it has the ground and power wires already loomed together, so it makes it a little cleaner, and yes use the fuse box next to your feet so it is easier and cleaner, i will run out to my car and see which slot to use

it is the 3rd slot from the left in the last row of the smaller fuses, it should be an empty slot, it is a constant power source so no need for the car to be on when you wanna show em off

A. How do I connect A to the the switch? What does that blue thing do? >_>
- I was actually thinking about cutting off the blue thing then just wiring it that way, would that work?

B. I got a few little "fuses" or "plugs" that go into the spot labeled B, what do those do?

Do I just connect it like this then, use a clamp to smash it together? o_O

yes, that's exactly what you do. the blue thing is a butt connector, stick the switch wire in and crimp the other side of the connector down onto it. make sure the wire will reach from the adda circuit connected into the fuse box to the switch panel before you crimp it down though. If it won't reach, you have to add wire.

the fuses limit how much current can actually go through the wire. Put either the 3 amp or 5 amp fuse in there.

Can I just use any type of crimper? I don't have a so called crimper, but I have a sort of wrench/clamp thingy. >_>

I use an old set of dull wire cutters my dad has in the garage. They're pretty dull, so it's an ok crimper. Sometimes it does cut through the butt connector though, so be weary.

Well I "crimped" it but that didn't solve it. So I cut the blue part off and wired it that way and that didn't fix it.

There must be something wrong with my other wires. That's a REAL pain in the ___ now.

Please tell me if I have something wrong...

Fuse box ---> Mini add a circuit---(red wire)--> Red wire on switch --(other red wire)--> to red wire on inverter --> CC

Ground doesn't do anything other than safety right? It wont affect the lights right?

The Fuse things, which one should I put and where?

the mini add a circuit says its not rated for over 10 amps just in case u were wondering. I am running about 20 amps on 1 of my mini add a circuits (a ton of interior and exterior lights) and the output is just as good as running 1 accesory on a mini add a circuit. Ive noticed no overheating or stress on my items attached. I think 10 amps is just a safety number the circuit uses to ensure nothing goes wrong. But ive had no problems so far.

But I still don't know whats wrong with mine. T_T

Btw, which plug in the fuse box should I plug it into? My car is 06 if that matters,

I haven't seen my mini-add-a-circuit power anything at the moment. Perhaps the box could be off? T_T Also, could it be my wires? They are 18 gauge... Hope thats not too thick. >_<

Could it be the 18 gauge wires are no good for power? Perhaps I need a 14 or 16 gauge wire for power...

Well crap, where can I get 14-16 gauge wire at 9:00am?

Edit: But wait, I went from the Fusebox -->AAC--->switch--->inverter---CC without any 18 gauge wire for testing purposes. The only wires used were the ones included w/ the AAC, switch and inverter.
