Ya, I wasn't going to let anyone know until I finished it, but I wanted to redo my switches with the ones from the Toyota 4runner, they have all four auto up and down switches, just need to find the right year, Im still looking, if anyone knows, spill it. If you want all four windows to go up or down with the touch of one button, you will need four relays, then run the positive wire from each switch to the input on each relay, then ground each relay, and run a seperate power to each relay. you will then need to splice the four outputs to the input on a new switch of choice. I am redoing my door panels again, and am relocating all my switches to a custom center console.

I asked a tech at toyota one day and he told me I would need to wire everything up and get a module for that like a new alarm, I was like ya, whatever dude. Take out the switch panel and the wires all go to the same place, the only other seperate wires are for the lock unlock module and the window lock. The switches are plug and play.

for example, take the driver window switch and unplug it, then switch it with the passenger side and it should work.
So you did get this to work right? Ill i want is one touch up and down for each window. I dont care if its one touch for all 4 windows. Im looking into doing this. Thanks.

1. One down for each individual window - YES
2. One down for all windows - NO
3. One up and down for each individual window - NO
4. One up and down for all windows - NO

For number 1, all you need is 4 individual driver window switches from a junkyard, or if you feel like purchasing 4 xb driver side switch panels.

For number 2, you will need the relays I talked about. I had to use relays for switches for airbag suspension, same electrical concept.

For number 3, all you need is the driver side switch panel from a newer 4Runner, just take the switches out of the 4Runner panel and stick em in the xB panel.

For number 4, you will need the relays I talked about. but instead of using a 5th xB switch, use a 4Runner switch, or even one from a tC. The switch won't blow because the power is ran to each relay, that is the main reason they are used.

Hope this helps, I tried to explain it as best as possible, I will try and get some pics as soon as I get a hold of my 4Runner switches.

So, you don't need anything else for the auto up? What about the 'pinch' protection?

Just get window modules put into the car so you can roll them down from a keypad and it also changes them to 1 touch rolldowns and ups. Ill do it for anyone for about $200 for all 4 windows.

^^ I hear that rubber strips are fairly good for protection. But yeah, you have to pinch the air to make sure that you are protected.

Haha i was just thinking about it today how it would be so cool to push a button and have all 4 windows go down at the same time especially on the xB since all 4 windows go all the way down... and now i see this topic! So i wouldnt care about being lazy or safe, i just think it would look cool

i talked to some guy with a helix in japan, that is the jdm 4runner, he said 4 the pinch protection, you would need the jdm motors for each window. Otherwise, it should work.

Has anybody actually installed either the auto down or the auto down/up switched in their xB? If so exactly which switch did you buy, where did you get them and do they work correctly?
Also has anybody found any aftermarket device to acomplish the same thing?

Nobody wants that man. They want to be able to use their interior window switches. If I want my keypad to work, I might as well get a mini or an audi. I don't mean to be rude, but that is not what they are asking.

That module converts all the interior switches to 1 touch up and 1 touch down.....

It just seems like everyone is trying to hard to find another way to do it and more then likely will end up spending more money.

I really am hoping for a simple plug in replacement, not a cut and rewire like the module requires. If you really can just unplug your old window switched and replace then with new ones to get the auto up and down, that would be far better than adding a module. Also info on the module that you suggest indicated that you would have to buy 4 and put one in every door.

just curious, you don't need some sort of controller to stop the motor once the glass hits the bottom? wouldn't motor keep winding the window down similar to me keep holding down the button?
