Default Back light on gauge not working

My back light stopped worked after I installed a radio. The one thing that I noticed is that the harness for the radio did not include dimmer wires. Right now the wires coming from the car have a positive and negative dimmer wire that go no where. I'm not sure if this is related.

I'm completely stumped on this one. I check and triple checked all the fuses and they are fine. I bought a new gauge cluster and still no back light.

Is there a hiding fuse somewhere that might be blown?

Any help is gratefully appreciated.

usually if the backlight on your gauge goes out, its because you blew the fuse for your taillights.

did you check to see if your tail lights work? I believe the fuse for gauge/taillights is a 5, on the right side of the fusebox. It should be red.
