Legal RF output on the Amateur Radio Service is 1500 watts, my friend. If I put a 2.4 GHz setup in my xB, I could have a microwave-toaster. :D

Then you're probably better of tapping right off the battery (like you mention in your other post). Through an inline fuse of course.

 

I think that's the plan. I found a how-to on another xB forum tht showed me how to route the cable through one of the grommits in the firewall. I already have a special cable w/ fuse for my Icom VHF/UHF rig.

Hopefully I won't go overboard with the radios. I don't want you to pull into the parking lot at work and see my XBox resemble this vehicle:
