Default Brigning wires for power through the firewall of the XB

I need to penetrate the fire wall to bring some 10 guage wire through the fire wall for a 2 way radio (I read the warnings about transmitters in the manual).

On other cars I have owned there are rubber plugs you can make a hole and to get wires into the passenger cabin. I have not been able to locate such bung holes in the XB.

If you have a first hand account of how to do this, please share! (not my brothers neighbors cousin said...)

With gas at $3.30 a gallon in the North East US SUV drivers are asking me lots of questions about the XB!!!

Feel free to email me at tvc15_2000@yahoo.com

ive just double-checked and can tell you that it is behind the drivers side strut, near the top of the firewall. it is easily accessible when you pop the hood..

the better one IMO is the one that would be directly in front of the glove box on the passenger side. theres two nipples that poke out of the rubber plug. just cut the unused one and run it through. almost makes it look factory IMO. then pull it through the glovebox area. thats what i did and it worked good
