I've worked at Toyota, Chevy/Pontiac, and Honda and I know that none of those come with them in. It's something that you have to buy if you want it.

It is the identical filter drawer in the tC, but for some reason Scion/Toyota does not spec a filter for it...

this sounds like a good product that should be bought.... do u agree? on those hot days when its real dusty the air itself will be cleaner .... and it might make pollution have a better taste.. ha.

It has been reported by others that Scion/Toyota recommends against using a filter in the supplied filter drawer of the tC...

Heheheheheh... I can't really continue that sentence for at least three reasons: (1) They haven't said it to me, (2) I don't know what their actual reasons are, and (3) the reasons I have heard from others make little to no sense considering how the air distribution box works.

Really, if I had a rational answer I would give it, but at this point I'm not sure one actually exists. :D

darn - I hope someone else can add to this post that might know because it sounds like an upgrade that I would like to get. Filtered air is always better for smell, keeps the car cleaner, and its healthier.
