Default Dash repair

I have two fairly deep scratches on the passenger side dash (airbag location). Does anybody know of a product that might repair this without having to replace the dash piece? The parts dept at the dealer says I have to replace the entire piece, which is connected to the airbag unit $850.00. Thanks.

i would sand the hole cover and paint it a nice color.
or put a resin coat on it and then paint.

get yourself some textured leather, like from a jacket.... heat the area for 3-4 seconds with a heat gun - slightly longer with a hair dryer... press the leather into the scratch for a few seconds, repeat as needed to blend the scratches.
