Anyone else here experience dashboard vibrations and rattling sounds in their xB's?
What did you have to do to fix it?

I also have a rattle coming out from the lens of my speedo.

 

The dealerships just fix those problems with felt.

 

My 05 has been to dealership 5-6 times for vibration noises.
Most of my noises were only noticable under acceleration becoming louder when rpms approached 3000.
Things they have fixed with noise coming from dash area include plastic trim piece on outside of speedometer and dash info center- fixed with rubber pad- Also clear lens on speedometer- place hand on it pressing towards front of vehicle to see if this is it.
Fixed it and 3 months later it was back. They fixed it twice with piece of foam. Also fixed glove box.
I still have one annoying rattle under center of dash. This may be your rattle. Dealer never fixed and I have 45,000 so I have no desire to fight with dealer- so I figure I trade my car end of 2007. If you do a search I believe someone found what rattle this is and repaired- I think some sort of vent - I do not have the desire to take my dash off or fight with the dealer so now I just turn the stereo up a little.

 

Yep. Those are ALL the exact same things I'm going thru.

 

the one i am hearing is like in the a pillar sounds like it coming from the corner of the a pillar and the dash.. like in the speaker.. but not sure... i can hit the dash and it'll stop for awhile but eventually comes back... its definately annoying... next time i goto dealership i'll have it checked out.

 

Yeah, mine has an occasional buzz that seems to come from either speaker grills on the dash. Also sounds like someone may have dropped something in the defroster vent and I'll get a rattle every so often if whatever gets jarred loose.

 

its fairly annoying but i guess i'll find it when i rip it all out to paint and im probably going to dye the headliner.

 

I may just pull it all out and fiberglass it.

 

I have a vibration sometimes in the passangers corner of the dash where the speaker is. BUT... my dash has been taken apart to add triple gauge set, upgraded dash speakers to 4" Pioneer, and a LED swap on the speedo. I don't think the dealer will give a poop about my dash vibrating.

 

Before you glass it, I would try some ^^felt^^ or foam where things come together.
