Hello, Im not sure if there are any picture step-by-step instruction on how to fix a jammed radio button. I did a search trying to find a solution
And all I found was other people with the same problem. I figured if I have to replace the radio I might as well destroy it first (trying to fix it of course!)
Lucky me, I fixed and here is how I did it:

Tools needed:
Small flat head screwdriver
Phillips screwdriver

First thing you have to do is remove the two silver pieces on each side (pull them) be careful if you pry with a flat head, the pastic deforms easily. Also remove the A/C ***** (also by pulling). Now we can start:

Remove the screws that hold the radio console in place shown by the arrows (its all clips around the radio, these are the only bolts than need to be removed) pull the plastic off:



Remove the 4 bolts that hold the radio in place:



Pull the radio and unplug the wire harnesses and the antenna wire:



Ok, so take the radio with you and find a comfortable chair and clean table.

To remove the front fascia use a small flat head to undo all the clips, this is a tricky part, so be patient.
There are two clips on the top and two on each side:



Once removed place it face down in a smooth surface (so you don't scratch it).
Remove all the 8 bolts and keep it face down, there are loose pieces now that you don't want flying everywhere:

Remove the motherboard and you will be seeing the back of you radio fascia with all the plastic buttons on there.
My radio had the volume down button stuck and you can see the broken plastic in my picture:



So I removed all the broken plastic pieces.
I believe that the little piece that I point with an arrow below was jammed between the button cover
and the motherboard impeding the button to operate:



Discard all the broken plastic pieces, they serve no function other than making assembly easier.
Put the buttons back in place and follow the Above steps in Reverse order.

Your done, radio fixed, and it didn't cost you a dime.

My compliments to the author. This worked GREAT for a stuck button on an xB. The only thing I would add is a caution when removing the 4 screws holding the radio cage to the dash.
Screws easily fall somewhere behind the dash. I went to the hardware and got several new screws and used a ratchet with putty to hold the screws when replacing.

All in all, a GREAT WRITE UP!

Your directions and pictures are perfect! I took all of the tabs off of all of the buttons while the radio was apart so hopefully it will work for another 20 years or more! Your help is very appreciated!
