Has any one added a New dome light like right up front, for extra light , I've seen the thread for in the back, if so any pics?

I added map lights (only on when switch at light is pushed), and a rear dome light that comes on (but does not fade out) only when the hatch is opened. If I can be of help with a schematic of the additional wiring (I have it drawn out as an overlay for the scion schematic posted in the thread), let me know. I added one to the flat area between the sunvisors. wired hot all the time cause the light has a built in on off switch. Really helps with front lighting. They are at Auto Zone for like 6 bucks.

 

wouldn't one of those map light bulbs with like 9 LEDs work as far as brightening the interior up?

The bulb I used is slightly smaller but still fits the large socket. It will be only half as bright which works great at night without blinding yourself. LOL Or you could wire in a resistor to dim the full size bulb a bit. Good luck with this very useful mod.
