So i wont to wire up some leds this weekend that are activated on and off by the dome light. 2 part question.

1) Where are the dome light wires run in the box. I feel bad because i just wraped my headliner and i did not even look to see.

2 ) is the dome light used as a switch and i have to draw power from another source, or do i just splice in to the POS and NEG wires of the dome and use that for my leds power.

There is a do-it-yourself thread about installing an additional dome light that works off of the dome light wires.
Search for 'overhead console' in the ICE & Interior section.
If that turns up nothing, search for 'Dome Light' in the XB section.
As I recall, you just tap into the dome light wires.

 

FYI, the dome light is a Switched ground (like most of the rest of the car), so be aware of these when wiring.
