I'm looking to throw some 8" midbass spealers in the doors of the 06 xB...has anyone ever done this? Just wondering what the mounting depth is before running into problems (window, etc)...

If anyone has ever done anything like this, please reply--I'm about to go all out on the system!

I do not have 8"s in my doors, but I am running a set of deep 6.5"s and had no problems with depth. The thing to keep in mind is the existence of a 1"+ trim of plastic on the inside of the door panel that can be trimmed away, which will allow you to build your mounting bracket out away from the door, thereby reducing the amount of magnet that protrudes into the interior of the door. Depending on your choice of 8", this may be ample coverage to allow for magnet and mounting depth.
