Well it's the thing you screw in the top. The scion pipe that holds the OEM brake handle is too think or vise versa etc. I went and got a big drill and HUGE bit but decided to leave it as it was.

It's not a very expensive item at all so why not give it a shot. I gave the link to the seller and he has all the different colors. What have you got to lose $16 bucks?

All I know is I bought tools cause I was so sick of pulling on it. I stopped by my local Mod shop.

This HUGE giant Korean guy that owns the shop sat in the drivers seat and I looked away for like 10 seconds and then he just handed it to me

He said he just pulled it off ?!?!?! I did not doubt him and he had no tools or anything.

you can always take out the e-brake/parking brake and soak it in hot soapy water more then likely that would help too

Default Try a Hair Dryer

Just an FYI: I could not get my handle to budge. I finally took a hair dryer on high to it and was able to loosen it up just enough to wiggle it off. I had to use the dryer again to put it back on.

i got the same e-brake as most of you do lol . i just got it in today and i was wondering how the hell can i take the original one out? so i went on searching and great... have to pry it out with my bare hands.

Question for infini . i can see that theh e-break isnt fully replaced in . are you able to make it fit perfectly or is that the max you can push down .

Also i read around the forums , changing the e-brake to an aftermarket one will lose the quality of the e-brake system . meaning it won't work good as it was with the original one? just wondering...

I don't understand how it could effect the quality of the "System" but your right it does not fit 100% down. If you want in to fit you will have to bore a bit in the inside to make it a bigger hole. Prob less that half an inch. I just did not want to do it.

I got mine off without destroying it. I heated it for a few min with a hair dryer and then twisted it. It turned some. I keep heating it and twisting it till it got loose and came off.

INFINI
Did you have to remove the whole consol to install the boot? Can I see a different picture of it from a different angle?
Thanks

Um I had to take out the rubber piece and there is a small piece where the iPod auxiliary port is you can see in the pic I think that came off and that's all. I can't remember but it was VERY easy compared to the rest of this ordeal. I will take some more pics.
