Eclipse AVN2210p
Anyone installed the Eclipse AVN2210 in their xB1? It's a cheaper alternative to the AVIC series or buying/swapping the xB2 nav unit. Also it comes with a portable GPS so you can hide it when not in use. Not sure if it will work with the factory 2006.5 AUX port; it does have a USB flash drive. Crutchfield sells it for ~$500 (red illum.)
Apparently Toyota sells this type for the Euro-Yaris and AYGO. It is standard on the 2008 Toyota 4Runner Urban Runner edition.

Well, has anyone actually installed this in a 2006 xB yet? I'm in the process of doing this right now and I'm stuck a little. I orded it through Crutchfield and they really don't have any information on this unit and how to get the steering wheel volume contols to work. I also was hoping to connect the speed sensor input of the unit (I guess it's mostly to give the unit a better idea of where you exactly are if it looses signal for a minute) to the wire that connects to the factory head unit rather than the violet/white wire that comes of the ECU which the tech support guy at Crutchfield told me to connect to (the factory wiring should have something like that for the automatic sound leveling function). Anyway, I tried contacting Eclipse to see if they had a little more information but they were already closed for the day and I really want to get this thing connected up tonight, I thought that these units were supposed to be easy hook for newer Toyotas? Thanks for any help (it dosen't necessarily need to pertain to this unit).
