Eclipse avn6600
I wanted to know if the Eclipse AVN 6600 was "plug and play" with the xB. Has anyone installed it without using a harness? Crutchfield provides a harness but the Scion plugs fit into the back of the Eclipse. Any help would be great...
Also, where would I find the "Speed Sensor" wire and the "Reverse" Wire in the xB???

I installed the 6600 in my 05 xb and it was a plug and go. I did need to connect to the reverse (got it in the harness headed to the indicator light behind the radio) and the speed sense (forgot where I found it but can let you know later)
I put a 5500 in my 06 xa. It was also a plug and go....even for the steering wheel controls. I caught the speed sense for that one in the aux harness behind the radio (purple/white)
Let me know what year your xb is and I'll try to get you better locations.

Speed Puls:
Engine Control Module Harness located under glove box.

Reverse Wire:

since you have the 06.5 you should have the VSS (Speed sense) in the aux harness behind the radio. It is purple with a white stripe. It can be found under the glove box too (if you had a cruise control installed it should already be tapped there.....easy to find).
The parking brake and reverse wires can be found in the bundle that heads up into the instrument cluster. I am not sure what color the wires are there but I just used a meter to check for continuity of ground for the parking brake wire. When you use a meter to check for the reverse light, set meter to check for voltage, then look for the wire that turns to 12V when you move the shifter to reverse.
I posted a list of wire colors on an old thread. I can try to pm you a complete list of colors later.
Just remember that any information you get is use at your own risk/peril. ALWAYS use a meter to test everything.
