Default Elemental Designs NINE.1 Amplifier

Elemental Designs NINE.1 Amplifier:

The amp is very heavy and solid. Asthetically it is very nice to look at. It uses 2 guage terminals for the input power. I think the outputs are 10 guage but I'm not positive on that. The amp is rated at 1200 watts into a 1 ohm load. It produced plenty of power to push the pair of ED 13OV.2 subs I have. I was very happy with it's performance.

In less than a week of use something happened to the amp and it just quit working. I returned it to ED for repair. They were very accomodating. I'm very impressed with EDs willingness to get things right. When the amp was returned one of the speaker wire securing screws had been replaced with a quit rough looking one, the amp had some scratching on it (was perfect when I sent it back), and the cooling fan was noisy. None of that was really a big deal because I didn't show much last year. Road noise and music easily drowned out the fan noise.

A couple of weeks ago I goofed and grounded the wires to my tweeters and caused a lot of damage. My head unit, the amp powering the tweeters and the ED amp were damaged. I don't feel like sending it back again.
