Default External MP3 Connector- Would this work?

Hey everyone,
I wanted to check to see if anyone knows if this would work on our headunits so I can hook up my Rio Karma.

Thanks.

It will not work with the stock headunit. It would work with an aftermarket pioneer with cd-changer control. You would also need a 3.5 mm (headphone) plug to RCA adaptor for your mp3 player.

I use a battery powered fm modulator with my factory deck to get my tunes from my Iriver mp3 player.

Problem solved. Use this part:

I now have a line in with my stock single cd HU.
The instal was very easy. The trick is to push the "disc" button on the HU twice. Then you can play the line in. Works like a charm.
So happy now that I can use my Karma in my tC w/o the POS fm modulator. Hope this clears the confusion about line-in. Hell I could plug it into my portable DVD for trips if i wanted.

i have an Alpine 9833 head unit and i had the cd changer to RCA converter installed connected to a phone jack in ... works well ... using a creative labs 20 gig mp3 jukebox ... i got like 3600 songs on it ... i love it .. never have to bring cds into the car .. and i made one mp3 cd to listen to usin the head unit if i dont wanna mess with the mp3 player ... gets boring on random tho .. so i just listen to the mp3 player ...
