i have the factory head unit, and i would like to find a way to wire in an aux cable to plug my MP3 player into. since i dont have satelite radio, can i use that handy satelite function on the unit as an aux, or are the ports nonstandard?

 

They are non std, but in the end they have to have a aux in right and left.. so if you have the will, there's a way. I'm not sure if someones got an adaptor out yet.

 

U can try an FM transmitter from Belkin for Ipods... works for any other mp3 player as well.

 

i know an FM Modulator would work, but i dont like messing with those things. the radio spectrum here in tampa is full, so i would think i'd get alot of signal bleed, clarity issues. wiring is the best way to go for a sound snob like me

I guess the question then is can you get a wiring diagram for the head unit. If you can, I have a friend who is an engineer that can read it and tell us what the input is. It also may be printed inside the cover of the actual unit.
