dude just wanted to say thanks a lot for the info... i did mine yesterday...put everything together just now and i almost soiled my self.........looks amazing. i was gonna paint around the dails...but i thought......nah thats too much masking off.....unless you know a better faster way. next step EVERYTHING ELSE! i have an airless sprayer that i use to finish cabinets....really helps.

how far are you from houston? i can give you some help. i have a sprayer and a passion for using it.

 

If I wanted to do this to only the interior pieces that are already painted, what prep needs to be done? I assume I don't need to sand since they're already smooth. Just the adhesion treatment, paint and clearcoat then?

I'm going to have to get my xA in for some minor body work and I figured if they're going to be painting anyhow, I might as well have all those silver/painted pieces done up in PGP.

 

Icecold, if I were to drive from Oklahoma some day how much would you charge me to spray my dash like yours? I may also want to do the center console and the A pillars

this might sound dumb but is it safe to drive with the pieces off? And how long did it take to paint what you did including the pillar

 

Also can you just paint the pieces that arent rough so they all have a matching smooth surface, or is it neccessary for the paint to adhere?

 

Just a quick note. I found a great paint to paint interior parts. Dupli Color primer , Paint and Clear Coat. You could even wax you parts after there finished. Awesome they always look great.

 

Im not a fan of the speaker grilles, but the rest looks great. really nice job.
