fuse for the amp?
ok guys u know how u have two fuses on your power wire goin to your amp well i know u have to have a anl coming off the battery and an agu close to the amp. my question is what amp fuse should i use for an amp that pushes 1500 rms?

How many and what size fuse's are in or on the amp. Say your amp has 3 fuses on it and each fuse is 30 amps, your gonna need atleast a 90 amp fuse for your power wire, i dont know what you are talking about two fuses in line with the power wire, you only need one unless your amp dosent have any fuses on it like a Kicker 1200.1 does then you would need a second fuse in line on the power wire right next to the amp. Hope this helps.

a 1500 RMS mono-d amp at it's best efficiency(say 80%) will draw 156.25 amps at 12volts... I'm pretty sure the xB's alternator isn't over 120amps (if it's lucky) but I'm not positive..judging by this information, I'd get no bigger than an 80 amp fuse untill you get a H.O. alternator... otherwise, a good amount of hard bumping(trying to get the 1500 out of it) with that amp will ruin your alt...
to get all 1500RMS from that amp, you're going to need an alternator upgrade and new battery... 0ga. running everywhere... then you should be golden...
BTW: amperage is calculated by (watts/efficiency(%))/voltage
A/B class amps are generally 50-60% efficient, D Class amps are generally 70-80% efficient
