Default Glue Spray Gun recommendations?

I'm going to be relining a couple headliners in a few weeks, and I'm looking to buy a glue spray gun that'll work well and not to expensive.
Anyone have any recommendations on spray guns to use for glue. I'll be using a 5.5 hp-30 gal. compressor.

I assume that you could use a gun just like what's used for paint, but need a wider nozzle to use for glue.

most autobody paint stores have a $20-$25 paint gun with the cup on the bottom. it works great plus it's cheap so if the glue gums up the gun and you can't clean it out is's cheap to replace. I've had my glue spray gun for about 5 years and no problems. every so often I break down the gun and soak it in Acetone to clean it out.

Sounds good to me! That's what I was thinking of getting, but wasn't sure how they worked.

What do you use for glue? Is sprayable glue easily available? How about the spray cans of adhesive from 3M and others?

It'd pretty easy to find. The typical 3m spray can stuff can be found at home depot and what not. You want high heat/ resistance glue so your headliner won't start sagging. I bought a gallon of DAP® Landau Top & Trim High Heat Resistant Contact Cement. Can't remember exactly where i bought it, but it was ordered online. Do a search for it, or any auto trim supply store should have something.

The bottom cup glue guns are definitely the best to use for spraying contact cement or landau top adhesive. My personal favorite is Weldwood, I used to buy it in 5 gallon cans for $40 or so from an upholstery supply shop in San Antonio, TX. In my experience with Weldwood, the adhesive in the red can works the best. If you can find it there is also a brand called Pattex that is wonderful and comes in Spray cans as well as gallon and up containers. Oh, and just to make sure that everyone knows that was asking, you really don;t need to change the tip or needle on the paint gun, the smaller tip makes it spray the web pattern just like spray cans, a larger tip may allow too much glue to flow.
