yeah, 2tonexB has done it to his (which he's selling on classifieds BTW). i'm sure there are many more (most probably in japan) that do this for the VIP style.

That's straight VIP. Garson makes em for the bB, and others. If you're going for a luxury ride then they make sense...

You know what would look hot? If you used Velcro to just hold some fabric up.

Or better yet, go to a junk-yard and find an old Chevy conversion van that has window blinds on it and hot melt glue the whole apparatus to the window. VIP all the way.

all flaming and hater displays aside... i saw these as an alternative to the jdm garson curtains that can run you from $300-$500 i was wondering if anybody had tried to alter these as a cost saving solution to vip style
P.S. xBen 700 ....we get it ...you don't like the style .....wow do you sip haterade or do you go straight for the I.V. injections

I thought it would be a good HDDM (Home Depot Domestic Market) mod.

Sorry if I come on too strong. If you can't tell I lay on the sarcasm pretty thick sometimes without realizing it...
You're right, I don't like the "style." But really, from a practical standpoint, they seem dangerous to me. Even 5% tint windows allow you a clear view out the window from the inside. They just look like "blind spot maximizers." Unless I used my car as a camper or slept in it or something it just seems like a waste. I full tint kit for an xB is less than a hundred dollars, and at 5% they'd be illegal in practically every state. I can't even imagine what cops would have to say about black-out curtains.

To each his own. But it carries over to someone's opinion too. You post anything on here and someone is bound to rib you a little. This car seems to appeal to a really wide demographic, so you're going to get a little of everything. I do have to say that since the car is relatively low production compared to say a Camry or any truck, when people see something tacky it tends to stay with them because we stick out any way. In my opinion most everything I've seen that is "JDM" is synonymous with "rice".

I am going to do this to my box but i am doing it this way:

i am going to get maybe a 10 or 20 foot long by 3 foot wide strip of BLACK fabric from a fabric store. since i only need privacy in my xB SOMETIMES, like at night, i am only going to use this at night. i am going to get those curtain hook type things and hook them directoy "between" the pillar panels on the roof, right where they meet the headliner. this way, ALL my windows will be covered and i can remove it easily and quickly...

just my idea...
