They're actually 2nd rate compared to some of the smaller companies. I would cop an Elemental Designs subwoofer before I ever copped an overpriced JL

Got the system installed and took pictures if somebody wants to host them and put it on the board let me know so I can e-mail you the pictures.
Head Unit Kenwood DDX 7015... Does anyone know if there is a screensaver setting or equalizer visualization like the old kenwoods other then the boring static blue sky scene. Also a 8w7 in the ported JL box with the red eye and a JL 250/1. all for 1899 installed.

the 8w7 in the high output box, eh? how's that sound? i never heard a 8 in the h.o.

THe ported box actually sounds better in the Xb then the sealed version from JL suprisingly. The installer said that the ported boxes sound better in hatch style trunks.

That's because the installer knows about as much as my grandmother does about car audio.

Sealed boxes lack in output, so dollar for dollar a ported box is always going to get you more sound, which isn't really "better" in everyones opinion... but it sure is in mine ;).
