Default Help 2006 XB Cruise Control

I cannot find the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) and NSS (netural safety switch) plugs or wire colors at the ECU. I am installing the Rostra cruise control in to my 2006 XB right now. The instructions provided are wrong. There are 4 plugs on the ECU, does any one know which plugs and wire colors are used at the ECU.

Thanks

Call Rostra for asistance or the seeller of your unit. The wire psitions on those plugs have changed for '06. They can give you the correct wiring instructions right away.

I am going to try and call rostra tomorrow. I purchased the kit directly from them, the week after my 2006 xb was purchased. At the time, they had no idea of any differences between the 2005 and the 2006. I was hoping someone did the install already and knew. I also tried to get the info from the toyota service dept. They didn't even know what a vss or nss was.

thanks

I bought the Rostra 250-1755 kit for my 2006 xB last week. Ran into the same problem. Called Rostra and they told me the new pinouts. Hooked it up and it works great. Leaving for a long trip from NC to PA tomorrow so it will be well used. Here's the details, Neutral Safety wire is on pin 30, black wire on ECU connector closest to the passenger door. Vehicle Speed Signal is on pin 8, Violet w/white wire on 2nd ECU connector from passenger door.

Enjoy,

John

I too have a 2006 xB that I installed cruise on back in Oct. I haven't been able to get mine to work effectively. Violet/white wire is the one to tap into for VSS. Where did tou tap in for a vacuum source? I am so frustrated that I have had cruise for 3 months and can't use it. I called the manufacture and they more or less said "I dunno" in a Homer Simpson like fashion.
