Default HELP With Choosing The best DVD/Navigation

hi guys i see a lot of posts here about all the navigation systems, unfortunately i dont have a very good idea about tehse things so can you advise me on whats the best DVD navigation system to get. I am aiming to spend upto 1500. I see the pioneer Avic N1, D1, the Kenwood and the Sirius models. What would the overall costs be for installing these including DVD and Navigation systems. I see all sorts of random prices on ebay so that threw me off!! Also do all these systems, except hte N1 fit in the same spot where the original tc stereo is? can the scion cover stay or does it have to be removed?

Appreciate all your help

thanks

if I were you i would look into a double din unit. It will look better in the tC. The Eclipse AVN 5435 has a nav unit built in as well. Also check into the Kenwood DDX7015 or the DDX6017.

If you see a price that's amazingly good on ebay, I wouldn't trust it.

Do a lot of research on the specific unit you want, and if the price seems too good to be true, just keep in mind that it probably is.

Do tehse systems that you talked about fit in the same place that the current scion music system fits? reason i ask this is will i be able to close the scion stereo cover? where i live, theres lots of car thefts, i would prefer to ahve it covered..! lol

Which one would be the best one to get? which is the best rated amongst thesE?

Almost all the double din HUs will have to moded to make the door shut. You have to redrill the mounting holes on the mounting brackets back about a 1/4 of an inch i believe. Check out this link and it will show you everything you need to know.
