I've locked my keys in my truck more times then I care to count, but I could get in, in a matter of seconds

 

My car came with 3 keys, two were cut, one blank and a silver tag with the code to make a new key. I have one on my key ring, one in my wallet and the other key and code at my parents house.

I've never done it with the Scion, but I have locked my keys from the Mercedes I use to own in the trunk all the time. It automatically locks with no trunk release. Good thing I kept the spare key in my wallet.

Glad to know I'm not the only bonehead out there. Sis took me to the dealer. I showed proof of ownership they GAVE me another key for FREE. Guess they figured I had suffered enough.
My car only came with 2 keys too. Must depend upon the dealership.
