I've bought a Audiovox CCS-100 universal cruise control for my 2006 xB. I decided to do this for two reasons. First the local shop wanted $500 to sell and install a cruise. Second, it would've been the Rostra on the column. Since I am 6'3" I already have a space problem with my legs. So I am going to locate the control unit on the dash beside the outboard air vent. It is small and gray so it should look decent.

In any event, if someone is familiar with the wiring of a cruise control, I would very much appreciate help with color codes and/or locations of wiring locations. Thanks in advance. peace from Virginia.

One last question in the search for advice. Does anyone with experience of a cruise control feel that a vacuum canister is necessary or unnecessary?
